I think Paul is on target. There should be no diminished effort for MS to play to their strengths which undoubtedly is software (including services). They should expand that emphasis as they seem to be doing as yesterday's Oracle keynote shows. They should expand their services as they have the infrastructure with their data centers and expertise to do so. They should have as a goal running those services like Office 365, Bing News and Sports, xBox Music and Video, outlook.com etc.on every device and not just poor afterthought excuses of the full experience. I have no doubt MS will eventually get those services right as that is their strength.
