Sutton returns for rabbitohs' clash with roosters

SUPERBOWL XXXV

Sutton will be fighting for NRL points against Bulldogs

Shaun Taylor will be aiming for a brace for Canterbury

The NRL's hottest young stars return to action this weekend with the match between New Zealand's Canterbury and Western Bulldogs set to be a landmark fixture in what will be a sensational weekend of rugby league action.

The Superbowl XXXV takes place from Sunday November 5th to Monday November 6th and will see the two main title contenders clash in a one-sided battle at Suncorp Stadium in what is expected to be a historic clash between the biggest teams in football with reigning champions the Bulldogs and current top seeds South Sydney and Newcastle both expected to finish in the top two.

But the Bulldogs are only expected to end up second, with the Storm the frontrunners as they could be the title contenders.

Shaun Taylor vs St Kilda (AFLW/BFL) – Newcastle Bulldogs v Canterbury Bulldogs

The Bulldogs look set to secure a top three finish with the win after sweeping St Kilda by five points at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night in a classic clash of two halves from the Bulldogs and Saints. The reigning top three ranked teams now have three wins and three losses over a four game winning streak in the AFLW, and five against their competition in the regular season.

The Tigers may have found it tough to get the results they wanted following a 5-0 drubbing of Port Adelaide at the SCG in round three, but were still within touching distance of the grand final favourites.

Newcastle captain Scott Selwood had three goals and six marks in the match, while the Saints star Nick Riewoldt had two goals and two assists.

But it's the Bulldogs that have started things off in fine fashion.

Titans centre Andrew Fifita scored a double with six minutes to go to give his side a 9-3 lead, and he could have put the Storm on top when he kicked the game winning goal in the second half after taking the ball in from the wing in the last quarter.

The Storm were never given a chance and the Bulldogs were again able to exploit the hosts weaknesses with a perfect day of footy.

At a crucial time in the game, Bulldogs coach Brad Arthur made two vital changes from the side that beat the Magpies on Saturday.

The Tigers had two change of sides from their starting side, with Taylor switching to forward half-back, and the Tigers' No.1 draft pick Jobe Watson moving back to the hooker spot from two-quarter back.

For the Bulldogs the selection of players at this stage was no surprise, having just received

Alice darwin train costs trucking jobs to the US

The price tag of the new car has been increased by 1.2 billion yen ($1.27m), resulting in the increased cost per kilometre of the train by about 5 per cent. The cost was determined by calculating the annual operating costs for the locomotive and coaches as well as the overhead costs for repairs and maintenance of the network.

A spokesman for Toyota, which was behind the decision to increase the cost, called the move "consistent with the fact that the costs incurred have been kept on an even footing".

The spokesman added that costs for Toyota's existing fleet of three-to-four-car trains had been kept constant, but that the cost for the new five-car trains needed to be calculated in new terms. "To our knowledge, our trains' long-term maintenance contracts, including engine repairs, has been increased at an average of 30 per cent," he said.

The cost increase was the latest fallout from the Japan government's decision to impose a 5 per cent sales tax on imports of cars and crossovers made in Japan in March 2016.

As a result of the new tax, a 3.7-billion yen ($35m) subsidy, which subsidises the costs of moving foreign imports across the Pacific and Europe, was applied to imported vehicles to help fund a $18bn program of public-private investments in the country.
